Celtic braid game is very hard.
We are not going to comment on the randomness of the twist braid pattern, right? Or if it's logically possible? XD

<Stable Story>
“It’s been a while since he did anything,” the ex-general comments, watching the grey lusitano as he patiently stands while his beloved owner brushes through his long mane.
“Ai, and I could say the same for someone else in this company,” Kadi replies calmly, smiling to herself.
Kethron raises his eyebrows. “What, me?”
“Do you think that it is you?”
“I have...” he starts to protest, then stops and starts over. “I will....”
“I know, mtoto, you will. Is Leovanthos getting chubby yet?”
“Not as chubby as this pony.”
“Fifteen-point-three hands is well above pony height. And if Zaphiare did not have his fatty neck and behind he would not be as handsome.” She glances over her shoulder at him. “He wears it well.”
As she looks back to the silky black mane strands he leans back and narrows his eyes. “I feel like I was just insulted.”
“If I insult you I do so with reason.”
“And confidence,” he mumbles.
“Of course. If there is a reason there is no reason to not be confident.”
“So you did insult me and my marginal chub.”
“It is factual that I met a fit young general and that I have had twins since then.”
He is still for a moment, then nods in helpless agreement and runs a hand through his hair and looks off to the side.
There is an expanse of silence.
“Besides, it is just a halter show. All he has to do is be his normal level-headed self. Simple.”
“I don’t remember the last time he did halter.”
“He hasn't.”
“Oh.” Kethron thinks and then smiles. “I hope he does as well as King, because, you know, he did pretty well.”
She smiles and chuckles. “I am aware. And he didn't even have mane to work with.” see this picture and/or story
Kethron defends: “He looks regal with cropped mane, not like a pretty mare.”
“What is wrong with pretty mares?” Kadi inquires.
Knowing of the number of pretty mares at the estate that also happen to be strong and proud, Kethron replies swiftly.
“Nothing.”
“Oh. Interesting,” she replies nonchalantly.
He huffs at her. “Why are you so... harsh right now?”
“You insulted my baby.”
“Zaphaire is – wow.”
“Just like King is yours," she replies in a sing-song tone, smiling.
He balks. “King is not my baby.”
“Of course he is. What would you do if I insulted him?”
“I... would....”
Kadi finishes brushing the hair and pats his chubby neck and kisses his soft nose. “Good boy.”
“You kiss horses?”
“I kiss ones that I love.”
He makes a face. “But... I kiss you.”
She smiles in pity for him and touches the side of his face as she steps past him. “You do not need to worry. I am fairly certain I keep him cleaner than you keep yourself.”
He cackles once. “Oh, is that right?” he asks, watching as she goes to put the brushes away.
“It is not your fault. You are a male. It is unavoidable.”
“So is he!” Kethron retorts, gesturing dramatically.
“Yes, but he has me washing and grooming him.” She walks back to Kethron and Zaphiare and unites him. Zaphiare, that is.
“Fine. I’m going to take the most magnificent shower tonight and be so clean you’ll faint.”
Kadi raises her eyebrows, and glances at him, smiling, as she turns down the stable hall. “Ooo, I cannot wait.”
Kethron crosses his arms and huffs.
<Competition Story>
Dozens of horses donning festive green and white and gold halters and adornments are being led around the grassy grounds, waiting for their turns to show themselves in all their individual beauty.
Kadi works on threading stray strands back through the Celtic knots and braids of Zaphiare’s mane. He stands easily, a hind hoof cocked, being his normal laid-back self, almost looking bored as his brown eyes watch the other horses and humans around him. A specially Irish themed baroque bitless bridle is in place on his head: the gold metal shining against the green-stitched white leather and custom green Celtic accents that Kadi added herself.
Almost being their time to enter the sandy arena, Kadi tugs the bottom parts of a knot one last time and gathers his mane sections and inspects the hair as she lets it slide through her hands, then, happy with it, pats his shoulder. “You are very pretty,” she says quietly, and he flicks an ear back.
She picks the lead up off the ground (Zaphiare happens to be so laid-back and well-behaved he practically taught himself to be ground-tied) and leads him around the low dressage fence to the removed piece and they wait as the current performance finishes.
“You ready, baby?” Kadi asks, placing her hand on his cheek. He pricks his ears forward.
She smiles and readjusts her grip on the lead.
“Of course you are.”
